DESCRIPTION:Do you suffer from aches and pains in your back? Our lives have become more sedentary\, many of us are sitting for hours each at our desks\, this affects our spine causing discomfort\, pain and could lead to serious health challenges such as herniated disks\, pinched nerves\, headaches\, etc.\nIn this workshop Olga will share simple techniques and exercises which when done regularly can alleviate many of the common back issues most of us face each day. It does not require a very arduous workout routine\, even just 5 or 10 minutes a day can make all the pain go away. \nCome and discover effective methods to support good posture and a healthy spine. \nOlga is a certified Classical Hatha Yoga teacher having trained at Swami Krishnananda Yoga Center in Mysore\, India. SUMMARY:Yoga for Women Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The practice “Yoga for Women” came into my life in 2016\, when I was on maternity leave and experiencing problems with my back as well as having health issues more specific to women. I was interested in doing some exercises\, but working out at the gym\, repetitive workouts or aerobics did not appeal to me. Yoga for Women which incorporates gentle and flowing movements\, that are specifically designed to work directly with the female body seemed wonderful to me. Gradually my back pain went away\, my body became more flexible and resilient\, and my women’s health issues improved. After experiencing the way this made me feel\, free from monthly cramps\, with big improvements in my health and well-being\, I realized that I wanted to share this wonderful practice with other women and help them to become healthier and happier. That is why I studied to be certified as a Yoga instructor for women. This is a unique opportunity being offered to women in Luxembourg\, to explore this practice which is designed for their bodies. I am the only certified Yoga for Women instructor in Luxembourg. These practices are very safe for all ages\, regardless of your fitness level. Come and try it! SUMMARY:Yoga for Kids - Krida Yoga with Olga
DESCRIPTION:The main focus of the course is to raise awareness of the connection between emotions\, state of mind and physical state of a human body. Through simple exercises\, breathing techniques and yogic style games children will learn how to stay active\, maintain internal balance\, how to live and express emotions in a safe and constructive way which eventually will help them to approach their schoolwork with greater calm and concentration.\nContent of the class:\nLimbering (game format) 5 mins\nStrengthening (sitting in a circle) 5 mins\nStretching (in pairs which is always fun for kids) 5 mins\nPractice of asanas and sun salutations in a game format 10 mins\nBreathing exercises (combined with exercises focused on expression of emotions) 10 min\nVisualization techniques*5 min\nSinging** 5 min*Tuning in: the capacity for tuning in is the one can be learned. Helping children focus on one thing at a time\, for an extended time\, in a quiet environment with the undivided attention of the instructor\n**Tuning out: as children grow\, they can develop the ability to tune out noise and external activity that might distract them\, and this is a skill that can really help later in school and college. Singing of mantras will enhance Alpha brainwaves which were proven to be the same frequency of the earth’s electromagnetic field. DESCRIPTION:We find ourselves in challenging and ever changing times. Since the start of the Pandemic\, many people have found their way to Yoga in order to feel physically\, mentally and spiritually focused. If you are new to yoga and have been practicing online but would like a workshop with instructions\, then this could be for you. The number of participants will be limited to 6 to ensure that everyone has there own personal time\, feels safe and at ease. We will discuss\, the concept of yoga\, how it can benefit you in a variety of different ways as well as practice an asana sequence.
